Japan Sencha Uchiyama Organic Green Tea (No.136)
£2.00 – £124.80
Grown in soil, rich in volanic ash. A coarse, wiry leaf with a strong, & aromatic grassy flavour
Japan Sencha Uchiyama Organic Green Tea was produced in Kagoshima. Kagoshima is the second largest tea producing prefecture in Japan, after Shizouka. Kagoshima offers excellent growing conditions for tea due to its subtropical climate, high rainfall and its geographical surroundings. For Instance, the soil of the tea plant is high in volcanic ash from the Sakurajima Volcano. This helps produce fertile ground soil which is exceptionally rich in minerals. Interestingly, tea producers in Kagoshima have to regularly clean fallen volcanic ash from the tea leaves. The layer of fallen ash is regularly referred to as “shirasu” in Japan. Sencha Uchiyama has a fresh and rich aroma from the green, grassy flavours. Equally Sencha Uchiyama provides subtle fruitiness expected with a high grade green tea. Discover a light green, coloured cup with a refreshing fragrance.
