About True Tea Club
True Tea Club was founded in York, North Yorkshire to source and supply the worlds best tea - supporting small grassroots suppliers; working with growers and sourcing our products from those as enthusiastic about tea as we are.
We are focused on providing quality teas from around the globe to our customers on a daily basis. We pride ourselves on having one of the largest selections of tea available on the market.
Even with our extensive list of loose leaf teas to date, we are constantly working to find the most unique and special flavors so that we can continue to provide one of the largest selections of tea anywhere.
So that we can share our passion of tea with everyone else, we created a subscription box which is sent out monthly and contains some of the most fascinating and unique teas you can find.
We regularly run special offers on our products. For instance, if you enter "LOVE" on checkout you will receive 50% off your first subscription box.
For general enquiries or further information on our tea subscription boxes, feel free to contact us. We aim to respond to all messages within 24 hours.
On the 20th of every month, we send out a selection of hand picked loose leaf teas. You will receive four individual pouches of fresh tea which can range from white, green, black; rooibos, oolong, pu-ergh and herbal infusions.
A great benefit of subscribing with us is that you can choose the type of tea you prefer. Whether it might be delicate and aromatic, rich and fruity, or light and refreshing there's something for everyone.
The amount of tea we send can vary from 40 to 80 cups of tea per month (dependent on the subscription package). An added benefit of loose leaf tea is the leaf potency allows you to brew the same tea leaves more than once.
There are no long standing commitments with your subscription at True Tea Club. You can simply pause or cancel your membership anytime. Please view our dedicated subscription page for more information.
Loose Tea Selection
All true tea comes from the Camellia sinuses plant - but the herbal beverages sometimes referred to as "tea" are known as tisanes. Camellia sinensis sinensis is mainly grown in China, Japan and Darjeelinga and can grow between 3 to 5 metres tall.
It is the methods of how the tea is processed which can result in a wide variety of unique flavors and characteristics. The teas go along a spectrum of oxidation.
Oxidation is the exposure of the tea leaves to oxygen in the air, which results in the browning of the tea leaves.
We favor loose leaf tea over traditional tea bags as whole loose leafs have a larger surface area and provide more vitamins, minerals, flavors and aromas. As traditional teabags are usually made from low tea grades, such as dust and fannings which lack essential oils, leaving the tea dull and stale.
If you would like to taste some of our loose leaf tea, feel free to subscribe to one of our monthly packages. We provide the freshest and purest loose leaf tea guaranteed. If you're not satisfied, we will give you your money back.
