Japanese Kokeicha is a speciality Green Tea originally produced and patented by a tea farmer, Mr. Takeshi Takezawa, in the 1930’s. Kokeicha is a needle shaped tea which is made and formed from ‘konacha’ (ground sencha green tea powder), rice and water. For instance, ‘Kokei’ in Japanese means ‘fixed solid form’ and ‘cha’ means tea. Thus, Kokeicha translated to Japanese means ‘formed tea’. Japanese Kokeicha consists of an anthracite leaf which produces a delicate, vegetal flavour and a citrus coloured cup. Unlike most loose leaf tea, Kokeicha Green Tea can be brewed at least 5 times before it starts to lose its flavour. Enjoy this beverage hot or cold for a true refreshing experience.

Place 2 grams of tea, per 330ml, into an infuser. Pour over hot water (75-80°C). Brew for 1-3 mins. Remove infuser.

Once opened, keep sealed & store in a cool, dry place
