Sencha Mount Fuji is a superior Japanese Green Tea which has been cultivated on the tea slopes near Mount Fuji, Shizuoka. Shizuoka accounts for over 40% of Japanese tea production and exports. The high mountainous altitude results in slow growth of the tea plant (Camellia Sinensis). This subsequently contributes to its unique, sweet tasting characteristic. Shizouka’s location properties, such as: fertile volcanic soil, fresh river water and close proximity to major ports have made Shizuoka, Japan’s most popular tea growing region.

The green tea leaves from this Sencha have been plucked in the spring and steamed lightly before rolling. The green tea leaf is slightly brittle with a very fine leaf appearance. Overall the leaf presents a dark olive green colour and a light green coloured cup. In comparison to other senchas, this tea is milder and slightly sweeter. If you are looking for a high quality sencha from the home of Japanese Green Tea, this is a great option. A perfect tea for sensitive taste buds.

Place 2 grams of tea, per 330ml, into an infuser. Pour over hot water (75-80°C). Brew for 1-3 mins. Remove infuser.

Once opened, keep sealed & store in a cool, dry place
